1. Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that is placed on the hard drive of your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. The cookie is placed on your device by the website (“first-party cookies”) or by the website’s partners (“third-party cookies”). The cookie recognises your device by means of a unique identification number when you return to the website and it collects information about your browsing behaviour.

There are various types of cookies. We differentiate between the following cookies according to their purposes: there are essential cookies or cookies that are strictly necessary, and non-essential cookies (functional, analytic and targeting cookies).

The Belgian law on electronic communication of 13 June 2005 contains several provisions about cookies and the use of cookies on websites. The law is a transposition of the European e-Privacy Directive which means that the cookie legislation may be implemented differently in other European member states. Kazar is based in Belgium and consequently follows the Belgian and European legislation on cookies.
